🔒 Privacy & Security
Are my images really safe?
Yes. All processing happens in your web browser using JavaScript. Your images are loaded from your device into your browser's memory, edited locally, and the result is generated on your own machine. Nothing is uploaded to our servers — we couldn't see your photos even if we wanted to.
Do you store my uploaded images?
No. Because nothing is ever uploaded in the first place, there's nothing for us to store. When you close the browser tab, the image is gone from memory.
Does this work offline?
Once the page is loaded, most tools will continue to work even if you lose your internet connection, since the processing is local. However, you'll need a connection to initially load the page and its supporting libraries.
💰 Pricing & Access
Is everything really free?
Yes. Every tool, every feature, at full resolution, with no watermarks. The site is supported by advertising, which lets us keep it free forever.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no logins. Just open a tool and start using it.
Is there a usage limit?
There are no server-side limits because we don't process anything on our servers. The only limits are your device's memory and your browser's capabilities.
📁 File Support
What image formats do you support?
We support all major formats: JPG/JPEG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, and GIF (as input). Our converter can output JPG, PNG, WEBP, and BMP. The PDF tools handle standard PDF files.
Is there a file size limit?
There's no hard limit from us, but very large images (over 50 MB or 100 megapixels) may cause performance issues on older devices. For best results on mobile, stick to images under 20 MB.
Can I process multiple images at once?
Currently, most tools process one image at a time. The Image-to-PDF tool accepts multiple images for batch-combining. Batch support for other tools is on our roadmap.
🖼️ Specific Tools
How accurate is the background remover?
Our background remover uses color-distance detection and works best on images with clean, contrasting backgrounds (solid colors, bright skies, studio backdrops). For complex backgrounds with similar colors to the subject, you may need to adjust the tolerance and smoothness sliders, or use the "Pick Color" mode to target specific areas.
Why does the watermark remover require careful use?
The watermark remover is a clone-brush tool that blends surrounding pixels to cover marked areas. It works well on watermarks over uniform backgrounds but is less effective over complex textures or text. We only support removing watermarks from images you own or have explicit permission to edit.
How do I get the best compression results?
For photos, JPEG at 70–85% quality usually gives the best size/quality trade-off. WEBP offers 25–35% smaller files than JPEG at the same visual quality if your target platforms support it. For graphics with sharp edges or text, use PNG. See our compression guide for details.
🌐 Browser & Device
Which browsers are supported?
All modern browsers work: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Brave, Opera. We test regularly on the latest two versions of each. Internet Explorer is not supported.
Does this work on mobile?
Yes. All tools are responsive and work on iOS Safari and Android Chrome. Touch interactions are supported on the cropper and watermark-remover. Very large images may be slow on low-end phones.
The tool seems slow or my browser crashed — what happened?
This usually happens with very large or high-resolution images on devices with limited memory. Try resizing the image down first, closing other browser tabs, or using a desktop computer for heavy work.
📢 Other
Can I use these tools commercially?
Yes. You can use our tools for any purpose — personal, educational, or commercial. Images you process belong entirely to you.
Do you have an API?
Not yet. Because everything runs client-side, there's no server API to expose. If you need programmatic image processing, look into libraries like Sharp (Node.js) or Pillow (Python).
How can I support the site?
The best ways are: use the tools, share them with friends, and consider whitelisting us in your ad blocker. Ad revenue is what keeps the site free for everyone.
