By using FreeImageToolsOnline, you agree to these terms. They're short and written in plain English — please read them.
1. Acceptance
When you access or use any tool, page, or feature on freeimagetoolsonline.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. The Service
FreeImageToolsOnline provides free browser-based image and PDF editing tools. All processing happens on your own device; we don't host, store, or transmit the files you work on.
We may add, modify, or remove tools and features at any time without prior notice.
3. Free to Use — No Account Required
The Service is provided free of charge. You don't need to register, sign up, or pay anything to use any tool. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future, but existing features described today will remain free.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Edit, remove watermarks from, or manipulate images you do not own or have permission to modify
- Create content that is defamatory, harassing, obscene, or otherwise unlawful
- Produce misleading or deceptive "deepfake" imagery intended to harm others
- Violate intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of any third party
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying infrastructure
- Scrape, resell, or republish any portion of the Service without written permission
You are solely responsible for the images you process using our tools and for ensuring your use complies with all applicable laws.
5. Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain all rights to the images you process with our tools. Since those images never leave your device, we claim no ownership, license, or interest in them whatsoever.
Our Content
The Service itself — including its design, code, logos, text, and graphics — is owned by FreeImageToolsOnline or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without our written permission.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service includes advertisements served by Google AdSense and may include links to third-party websites. We don't control these third parties and aren't responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms of service. Your interactions with them are solely between you and them.
7. No Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Output from any tool will meet your specific requirements
- Results will be accurate, reliable, or of merchantable quality
You use the Service at your own risk. Always keep backups of important images before processing them.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreeImageToolsOnline and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service — including, without limitation, loss of data, loss of profits, or damage to devices.
Since we charge nothing for the Service, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim will not exceed USD $10.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FreeImageToolsOnline from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice — for example, if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on our homepage, and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which FreeImageToolsOnline operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
